About

This Blog was designed as part of my Creative Arts Degree at University of Wollongong(UOW) . The process of learning is never-ending. I have enjoyed creating these blogs that give reference to my studies.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share my experiences and thoughts while an intern at the Bundanon Trust. The Bundanon properties were a gift to the Australian public from Arthur and Yvonne Boyd and consists of approximately 1100 hectares. Some of this is  pristine bushland that overlooks the Shoalhaven River while other parts are farmland. Over the term of my internship I have experienced many aspects of the organisation and have come to realise the depth and multi layering nature of Bundanon. It is much more than and artist in residence program, it has educational programs, it links with the wider community and has formed community partnerships that protects the environment in terms of both flora and fauna. It is also a working and viable farm. It supports local businesses and is in fact a local business itself. It provides employment to a wide range of people and duties range from program coordinators to community outreach, domestic staff, marketing and financial managers. By and large the staff have a collective wealth of knowledge that is required to run such a high calibre organisation that attracts worldwide interest.

Other pages on this site include links to other organisations and museums along with entries, information and research  for another subject –  ‘Curatorial Practice’. I have been delighted to have been able to witness some of the curatorial practices I have learnt about at Uni in my experiences at Bundanon.

I have decided to share some of information and research done while I have studied at UOW as part of my investigative journey to a career of creative adventure. There is so much to learn and still much to gain from sharing  your own creative journey. I hope you like my blog as much as I have grown to love Bundanon.
